The new house

We officially have a signed contract on both houses, the old and the new! So this is great! We have both home inspections to get through this week and Max is having his staples taken out Thursday as well.
Max was throwing up and had bloody stools so we took him to the vet. They could not figure out what was wrong with him, and after several tries and X-rays they decided to cut him open! =( They thought he had eaten something that got stuck inside him. We knew that wasn't like him so we were doubtful, but the surgeon said that was the next best step anyway since they could figure out his problem. As we suspected there wasn't anything inside of his stomach, but they did remove a bloody, swollen lymph node near his rectum. They biopsied all his little insides and discovered he has Inflammatory Bowl Disease. We aren't sure how this is going to affect him in the future. We hope to get some answers and a plan for him tomorrow. I will say this as a lesson I learned: If you have a pet that you love like a child, consider getting pet insurance. It sounds kinda silly, but oh my goodness, all these little procedures and tests just kept adding up. Before long you have spent a small fortune on your pet and there really is no turning back. The actually surgery was only half the cost. So word to the wise, look into pet insurance and see if it is right for you. =)
