We own a house!

We have officially purchased the house in Woodlake and are making renovations! We have been buying furniture, painting walls, and cleaning. Our things arrived from LA this week, so we are now opening boxes and putting things away. It is sort of fun to open each box and find something we love that we've been living without for the last 4 months.
We did have a little hiccup with the closing of our old house though. The closing was originally delayed for two reasons, the other party's loan was delayed because it was a government loan wanting to be funded and two because our title was never filed!! Yes, never filed!! It was as if we didn't even own the house which also caused us to over pay on taxes by $3,000 over the last 4 years paying at a corporate rate. The title search showed that the home building company still owned the house even though we were paying everything. Very, very weird situation, and even though we had the copies of EVERYTHING there was no original filed to be found. It still hasn't been cleared up, but they did find the attorney that didn't do his job and he is supposed to be taking care of it.
All of that said, we went back to get our things anyway knowing we wouldn't close. Then, with an empty house, our buyers didn't pass their final loan approval =( So the house is back on the market yet again. I hope we can find someone that wants to buy our house that has some $money$ So for now we are just enjoying the new house and getting settled.
